In the aftermath of Chan Hiu Ming’s surprise resignation, the CTFA have announced that goalkeeping coach, Prasobchoke Chokemor, will be elevated to interim head coach of the Taiwan womens’ national team.
The Thai national, who has been with the national team set-up since early 2024, has been deeply involved in the womens side according to local news media. Besides his national team experience in Taiwan, Chokemor was previously a head coach with Customs United, a mens side in the lower leagues of Thai football.
Whether Chokemor will be the full-time coach remains to be seen. It is understood that he will remain in the role for at least the next three months.
Presumably after that time period has elapsed, a decision will be made by the CTFA as to whether Chokemor will take the women’s side through to the AFC Finals itself.
His first official duties with the Mulan roster will be to run its official training session in late September.
