Although it has not been formally announced by the CTFA, it looks like the women’s team will be playing some familiar foes at the end of the month. As spotted by Chao Chen Liu, who runs the essential World Football Space, the Mulan will be flying out to Indonesia to be part of a three-team tournament that also includes Nepal.
Taiwan are going into this game with the mental advantage, having beaten Indonesia in a winner-takes-all game back in April. The result, a 2-1 win for the Mulan which took place in Indonesia itself, ensured that Taiwan would qualify for the 2026 AFC Womens Finals that is set to be played in Australia this spring.
Besides getting much-needed practice for the upcoming Finals, the two-game tourney also represents a chance for interim coach, Prasobchoke Chokemor, to prove to the CTFA that he should be upgraded to full-time manager.
